Philosphy

• The environment is structured so the curriculum is truly child centered, being child initiated and teacher facilitated. The children explore and learn through hands on experiences.
• The focus is on the process of learning in all its intricacies. The child/learner is trusted and supported to follow the creative processes without worry of what the finished product will be.
  

Facilities
The Children's Discovery Center occupies a historic house in Hyde Park and has programs for infants (6 weeks and older) to children 3 years old. All children's rooms are located downstairs. and each area had shaded porches and play areas. Older children have climbing structures and a tricycle track to play on. Everybody has swings and things to explore and learn from.
