Check out the Austin Discovery School!
Austin Discovery School was envisioned by a group of parents, educators, and an educational psychologist who were brought together through their common interest in Children’s Discovery Center in Austin.
Each saw the needs of many children and parents who were growing frustrated in their search for a school that would excite children about learning and empower them to become lifelong learners.
Pooling their experience and research in child and brain development, educational theory, and child-centered curriculum, they applied for a charter in 2004 from the Texas Education Agency.
ADS was awarded a charter and opened its doors in 2005 to 160 students in Kindergarten through 4th grade and added fifth grade the next year. Currently, ADS serves 400 students grades K-6.

Marvelous Miss Jamy's Storytime

Marvelous Miss Jamy is a teacher at CDC South who provides amazing party entertainment combining her passion for reading with her natural thespian spirit.

"I am Jamy Jordan, and I have always had a passion for child development and literacy. Having taught preschool since 2007, my favorite activity with my students has always been story time. I feel the foundation for an early love of reading is engaging storytelling. With that in mind, I have started Marvelous Miss Jamy's Storytime to provide children ages 2-6 with a fun, animated book and activity for their birthday party or special event"
