Here at CDC we find the right fit for each classroom. We seek out natural educators who understand and take our philosophy to heart. Our teachers work along side the children allowing them the freedom to explore the world at their leisure and at their direction, while setting age appropriate boundaries and limits to make sure they feel safe. Our philosophy combines some of the teachings of the greatest educators of our times - Jean Piaget, John Dewey, Erik Erikson, Bev Bos and Reggio Emilia's Loris Malaguzzi. Each of our schools has a 4-star rating from Texas Rising Star, the highest rating they award. Our teachers are required to get 24 hours of training upon employment and 30 hours of training annual. They are all CPR and First Aid Certified and comply with all standards established by the Texas Department of Family and Public Services and Texas Rising Star. Children's Discovery Center believes in a living wage and does not pay permanent staff less than $10 per hour.
